Purple Paddle Event

The Peabody Purple Paddle is a fundraising event for the Alzheimer's Association and Alzheimer's/Dementia/Memory Loss education at Peabody Retirement Community put on by Peabody Retirement Community and the North Manchester Parks & Recreation Department.

DATE:  Saturday, August 25th 2018

TIMES:  Canoes & kayaks can launch every 15 minutes beginning at 8am (last launch time will be 8:45am).  Inner tubes will launch at 9am

COST:  $25 per person.  Includes event t-shirt and boxed lunch at the end of the event.

DETAILS:  The event will begin at the public access launch in Liberty Mills.  Registration begins at 7:15am, then you will drop your canoe, kayak or inner tube and drive to North Manchester and park near Ogan's Landing (ending site).  Peabody vans will shuttle particpants back to Liberty Mills.  Canoers, kayakers and floaters will end at the new launch on S. Mill Street in North Manchester (Ogan's Landing).  There, all particpants will receive their boxed lunch and t-shirt.


MORE DETAILS:  All participants must wear a PFD and shoes (slides and flip-flops not allowed).
